Hi there, I’m Lauren!
I’m so happy you’re here to learn a bit more about me and my life.
I was raised in a small, sweet town in Michigan where my joy for family and fashion began. I remember loving to read my Teen Vogue magazines and talk all about style and go shopping with my cousins. I fell in love with brands and wanted to learn about their history and how they’d evolved. This led me to a school in a much larger city, but not too far from home. I attended Cornerstone University to study business and pursue my love for sports. I majored in Accounting, but quickly learned the CPA thing was not for me. So, I did what any girl does – I googled “business jobs in the fashion industry”, and there it was, the answer to everyone’s questions – a book! I read that book, and never looked back. I traded in my tax internship for a marketing one at a high end store in the area where I ran their blog!
Fast forward after graduation and I chased my dream in retail and have worked at some amazing places with awesome brands. I’m still chasing, more like keeping up with my career, but things look different now then they did when I was 22 and stepped out into the working world. I met my husband, Bryan at Cornerstone. It’s a typical sports star meets other athlete kind of story, but I love it! We’ve lived in a few places but now call Chicago home with our two amazing kiddos we’ve been blessed with, Emery & Pierce and our Golden Retriever, Opal!
My reason for Haute & Wholesome is to take the guess work out of style and the things I’ve found to be life changing in my day to day. I hope you leave finding something you love.
